Coach Hill homes have some of the best views of the city of Calgary! As the name suggests it is located on a large hill on the west side of the city. The area got its name because stage coaches heading west to Banff was located next to Old Banff Coach Road. It is home to some of the local television stations and has a large transmission tower on it and is sometimes mistaken for Signal Hill due to its “signal light” on top however it’s commonly known as “Broadcast Hill”
This community is mature and was established in 1979. It has a variety of mixed residential houses from townhomes, apartments and single detached homes.

Coach Hill Shopping & Transit
Coach Hill is home to a few strip malls and convenience stores and there is every imaginable shop and service only a few minutes away in either West Springs, Strathcona Park, Aspen Landing, or the huge West Hills Shopping Mall.
To get to downtown it is a very easy bus ride on bus #101 or #179 with no transfers. In March 2013 the West LRT will be opening a park and ride on 17th Ave and 69th St. (Westside Rec), that will give the Coach Hill resident even more alternatives for their commute.
Coach Hill Recreation
Coach Hill homes are ideally located in the middle of all sorts of recreation. Right across Sarcee Trail to the east is the gateway to the huge Edworthy Park and off leash dog park. Edworthy Park is amazing and vast and provides endless hours of pristine wilderness and river valley to enjoy.
Just a little to the west of Coach Hill is the jewel in Calgary Hat – the Canada Olympic Park which was home to the 1988 Winter Olympics. COP (as the locals call it) is a year round recreational destination with skiing, snowboarding, bobsledding, and the luge in the winter and mountain biking and zip lining in the summer.
